15 tags will be sold at the live auction. A $200 deposit will be required to register to bid, and bidding will start at $250 (the actual retail cost of the plate).
Tag numbers up for bid at the live auction on April 9th:
- Two 1-digit tags: #4, #7
- Six 2-digit tags: #10, #21, #60, #65, #69, #95
- One 2-digit CHOICE tag: #25 – 49 (Excludes 29, 30, 33, 35, 40, 42, 44, 46, 47)
- Four 3-digit tags: #125, #150, #200, #400
- Two 3-digit CHOICE tags:
#101-199 (Excludes 101, 102, 103, 111, 125, 148, 150)
#401-499 (Excludes 408, 410, 420, 428, 444, 450, 468, 478)

Note: Delaware State Parks will accept credit card payments at the Triple Threat Auction.
Bidder Requirements:
Plate will be issued at live auction to winning bidder if:
Payment is received in cash or credit card.

If payment is made with personal check, the plate will be issued after Auction Service confirms check has cleared.
Vehicle information is required at time of settlement.

Winning bidder provides proof of valid surf fishing permit. If winning bidder doesn’t have a valid surf fishing permit, they must purchaser one before the tag is released.

State Park staff will be at live auction selling the surf fishing permits.
If winning bidder already has a surf fishing permit.

At the live auction, provide the current surf fishing plate with decal OR a copy of the surf fishing permit.

A free permit transfer replacement will be made at the auction prior to issuing the low digit plate.

BIDDER acknowledges that an auction site is a potentially hazardous area. Every person at the auction site before, during and after the auction sale shall be deemed to be there at his own risk.
NOTE: All bidders are bound by their signature on the Bidder’s Registration. Please read these Terms carefully. Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any applicant for a bidding card, or the privilege of bidding at this auction and to revoke such privilege at any time.
AGENCY: The Auctioneer is acting as agent only and is not responsible for the acts of its principals or consignors.
CONDITION OF ARTICLES SOLD: The auctioneer is not responsible for the correct description, genuineness, authenticity of, or defects in any lot, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No sale will be set aside for allowance made on account of any incorrectness, error in cataloging, or any imperfection not noted. No deduction allowed on damaged articles, all goods being exposed for public exhibition, and sold “as is” and without recourse. Some items may be added or deleted without notice.
THIS LISTING IS ONLY A GUIDE AND MAY NOT BE ACCURATE IN ANY WAY. EVERY ITEM WILL SELL “AS IS – WHERE IS”. PLEASE INSPECT THE EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO BIDDING. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
TERMS - You must be 18 years old to register and present a valid driver’s license. Payment for all items must be made IN FULL ON Sale Day in Cash, Cashier’s Check or Company Check at the time of complete settlement you will receive a paid sale receipt. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid or bidder in the best interest of the Seller.
DISPUTE BETWEEN BIDDERS: If any dispute arises between two or more bidders the auctioneer may decide the same or put the lot up for sale again at once, and resell to the highest bidder. The auctioneer’s decision shall be final and absolute. At knockdown (when it is sold to a high bidder) the tag becomes the sole responsibility of the new purchaser.
RECORD: The record of sale kept by the auctioneer and bookkeeper will be taken as final in the event of any dispute. |
